The famous El classico, was the battle between the 2 strongest and best teams of Spain, viz. FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, the two teams which never got relegated from the league and always remained in the top of the tables. And the battle between these two teams is always great to watch and is supported by many people in the world.

Out of these, Luis Figo case is the most known as he became the public enemy of Barcelona when he left FC Barcelona and joined Real Madrid. With his first appearance as a real Madrid player, he suffered from rude and mocking remarks from the crowd was declared as a traitor for Barcelona and the crowd threw hog’s head on the field saying “Mercenary”.

One of the most interesting traditions in El classico also known as guard of honor, in which the supporters of another team praised the other team’s member by applauding their arrival on the field like it was already decided which team was going to win. The last time this tradition was followed was on 2007 -2008 season. This tradition was happened 3 times – 2 times for Real Madrid and once for FC Barcelona.
